Rehabilitation Services

Oakwood has its own highly-trained occupational, physical, and speech therapists on-site available to Oakwood Village residents, and offering ideal services for clients requiring a short-term stay in a nursing facility while recovering from a surgery or a fall or members of the community in need of quality rehabilitation services on and outpatient basis.

Our rehabilitative services team uses thorough planning to assist individuals in their recovery process. We provide consistent care in a setting of patience and support, and have a wealth of experience working with older adults. Treatment plans are carefully tailored to meet client needs, and focus on maximizing abilities using modern and proven rehabilitative techniques. Many "graduates" from our rehab program often come back to visit because they value the bond formed between themself and their therapist, and often express their appreciation for the services they received.

Following a referral from a physician, a rehabilitation team - consisting of the client's physician or nurse practitioner, social services representative, family and/or caregivers (if desired), and the Oakwood rehabilitation staff - evaluate the client and form goals for the rehabilitation process. Our objective is to foster your recovery as quickly as possible. Our program is designed to achieve maximum progress toward recovery through appropriate, cost-effective and timely treatment.

Most rehabilitation services are covered under Medicare or personal insurance, but private pay or managed care (HMOs) are also possible payment sources. Our staff will help determine a client's payment eligibility.
