Oakwood Foundation

Established in 1981, the Oakwood Foundation’s mission is to attract volunteer and financial support which is committed to meeting the needs of residents at Oakwood Village West and Oakwood Village East; to use these resources wisely and efficiently, keeping in mind the donor's intent, the volunteers' interest, and the needs of the Oakwood Community.

Every year the Foundation distributes several hundred thousand dollars in support of programs and services for older adults in the Oakwood community. In addition to providing some charity care on the campuses, the Foundation works in partnership with other organizations to raise support and distribute funds that will enhance facilities and programs for residents, families, volunteers, visitors and staff at Oakwood Village.

"The thing I like the best about living at Oakwood is that if I get lonesome, there is always someone, anytime. I can stay as busy as I want.
