Oakwood Foundation

Oakwood Foundation

Established in 1981, the Oakwood Foundation’s mission is the development, stewardship and distribution of resources to promote the highest level of independence for a diverse community of older adults.

The Oakwood Foundation creates the margin of excellence for those who live at Oakwood and those who benefit from our programs, services and facilities.  Through the Continuing Care Endowment Fund, the Foundation contributes toward the gap in unreimbursed care as well as providing support for a range of activities and programs benefiting nearly 1,000 residents and about 700 employees on both campuses.  In addition to serving those who live and work on our campuses, the Foundation provides strategic grants to organizations that share our values in serving older adults, especially those with limited resources.  As a charitable organization, the Foundation’s goal is to enhance the lives of older adults through support of relevant programs, services and facilities.

You may contact the Foundation with questions or for more information at 608-230-4246 or by email.

Person's Name
"The thing I like the best about living at Oakwood is that if I get lonesome, there is always someone, anytime. I can stay as busy as I want.  There is always something to do, but if I want to stay in my apartment and relax, I have privacy to do that. I would tell people to make the move when you are young enough to enjoy all the things Oakwood has to offer."
