Oakwood Foundation > Donor Recognition

Donor Recognition

The Oakwood Foundation gratefully acknowledges every gift.  Unless someone wishes to remain anonymous, his or her name is published in Oakwood’s newsletter, Update, and annual report.  A memorial wall on each campus recognizes all who have given memorial gifts of $1,000 or more.

These special recognition opportunities are available:

The Oak Society

recognizes those give $500 or more between January 1st and December 31st of each year.

The Golden Oak Society

honors those who give $1,000 or more between January 1st and December 31st of each year.

The Lifetime Golden Oak Society

recognizes cumulative giving of $20,000 or more.  A tree is planted in recognition of support at this level and the giver’s name is listed on a wall of honor.

The Preservation Society

honors those who have given cumulative gifts of $75,000 or more, or at least 5,000 hours of volunteer service to benefit Oakwood.   Members are recognized on engraved bricks bordering the flower gardens of Oakwood.

The Oak Circle

recognizes those who make a planned gift to Oakwood Village.  Gifts could be made through a will or trust, a charitable gift annuity, insurance or retirement assets.  All names are added to the Oak Circle Giving Tree.

Outstanding Service Award

Oakwood’s Outstanding Service Award is presented each year at the annual meeting of Oakwood Lutheran Homes Association, Inc.  This prestigious award is given to a person or couple that has provided exceptional leadership to Oakwood through their volunteer service and financial gifts.
