Support Oakwood Village

The Oakwood Foundation invites those who believe in our mission to support our ministry and strengthen the future of Oakwood.

With your help, we will continue to deliver compassionate care, innovative programs that redefine healthy aging, and provide financial assistance to members of the Oakwood community. Together, we can ensure Oakwood remains a place of growth, happiness, and health for generations to come.

I like that Oakwood takes care of residents who run out of money through no fault of their own... I have things squared away and my family is taken care of so I thought, let’s do this.

The Oakwood Foundation

Established in 1981, the Oakwood Foundation (EIN 39-1398037) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity, and serves as the fundraising and gift-receiving organization for Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries.

As a faith-based, not for profit retirement community, Oakwood relies on resident fees to support daily operations. Gifts to the Oakwood Foundation go beyond these essentials, enabling us to provide a “margin of excellence” that that exceeds what our operating budget can provide.

The Oakwood Foundation is dedicated to supporting Oakwood’s two campuses, the individuals we serve, and the team members who provide exceptional care.

Whether its enhancing staff training to deepen expertise, investing in new technologies and programs that elevate care and services for older adults, or improving shared spaces across our campuses, your support makes a meaningful impact every day. Through your generosity, Oakwood continues to grow, innovate, and serve with distinction.

We invite you to support the area of Oakwood that matters most to you:

  • A gift to the Mission Support Fund strengthens Oakwood’s ability to respond to evolving needs with flexibility and impact.
  • Contributions to the Continuing Care Endowment Fund help ensure residents who have outlived their financial resources continue to receive the care with dignity and compassion.
  • Support for Staff Training, Retention, and Recognition empowers Oakwood to invest in the people who define our mission and are called to serve Oakwood every day.

Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Oakwood community: now and for the future.

We know there are only a few good reasons to have money. One of those is to give to charity.

Working at Oakwood Village is challenging and rewarding. I have spent my entire career as a pharmacist helping individuals as much as possible. Both residents and staff appreciate our work and the help we offer. I like helping the Foundation because we’re working for everyone here.

I learned about Oakwood’s work while I was in the Health and Rehabilitation Center at Prairie Ridge recovering from a shattered femur. But it wasn’t until I moved to an apartment home that I really learned what a great place it is.
