  • Independent Living Expansion Project

    Our new independent living project will consist of three five-story towers, connected via 2nd floor indoor walkways, comprising a total of 73 new life lease apartment homes. The new project will include screened-in balconies, a first for the Prairie Ridge campus, and apartment homes will range between 950 and 1,450 square feet.

    The design offers a number of benefits. All apartment homes will feature large windows, with most allowing for views in multiple directions. Residents share a floor with only four or five other apartment homes, offering increased privacy.

    The three towers will center on a landscaped outdoor courtyard, which will be enjoyed by all campus residents. Raised garden beds, a fire pit, and outdoor recreational activities are all amenity possibilities for the courtyard. Underground parking will be provided.

  • New Assisted Living Suites

    Oakwood plans to introduce 33 new one-bedroom assisted living suites to the campus with the addition of a three-story building with ten suites on each floor. The first two floors will connect directly to the existing assisted living programs, Oakwood Seasons and Oakwood Meadows, creating a safe, convenient landscaped courtyard between the existing assisted living programs and the expansion.

    The new assisted living suites will average just over 500 square feet, and will feature a living room, bedroom, spacious private bathroom, and kitchenette. Common areas on each floor will allow for convenient dining and life enrichment programming.

    Plans also call for a lifelong learning classroom, relocating and expanding the campus fitness room, new exercise space to accommodate an increasing number of stretching and yoga classes, and improved salon and spa amenities. The Village Mercantile gift shop and grocery store will remain in the Community Center.
