Memory Care

Memory Care at Oakwood provides older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory loss with a safe environment supported by compassionate staff. Members of our caring staff are available round-the-clock and strive to help residents remain active and engaged, as well as create a comfortable setting for family and friends to visit. Life Enrichment is thoughtfully planned and scheduled to encourage residents to engage in meaningful experiences.

Memory Care Services

  • 24-hour staff availability
  • Basic health monitoring and emergency response (including routine vitals, weights, blood glucose monitoring, catheter care, wound care, labs, X-rays, management of chronic medical conditions, acute change of condition)
  • Individualized care plan
  • Assistance with bathing or showering, whirlpool, if desired
  • Three nutritious meals a day, as well as snacks
  • Assistance with getting dressed, personal grooming and restroom use, as needed (one-person assistance)
  • Secured-access household with access to a secured, landscaped courtyard
  • On-floor dining room
  • Medication management and administration, including scheduled insulin
  • Light daily housekeeping service in resident suites, weekly for deep cleaning by housekeeping staff
  • Life Enrichment programming , including dementia-specific programming
  • Up to three hours of skilled nursing care per week
  • Utilities (except telephone)
  • Expanded basic cable
  • Wireless internet access
  • Onsite social worker
  • Personal laundry service
  • Linen service
  • Personal toiletries provided, if needed
  • Secured-entry household
