Sheeba Aaron is our Occupational Therapist at Oakwood Village on the Prairie Ridge Campus. Since April 2016, Sheeba has been a part of the Rehab Department team, helping residents get back to their optimal strength and to their normal daily living. Sheeba has grown both professionally and personally through her years at Oakwood. Professionally, she has been able to apply her knowledge and skills to working with residents and then seeing the results of those residents regaining strength and independence. Personally, Sheeba continues to render her passion for her job by getting to take care of the residents each day. Sheeba says, “Oakwood feels like my second home. I enjoy coming to work every day because of the job satisfaction I have working with such dedicated co-workers and great residents.” Oakwood is thankful to have such a passionate team member like Sheeba to continue to make our organization THRIVE!
Myra Normington has been serving Oakwood as a Resident Assistant for 17 years now, going on 18. She has showed great dedication to being able to provide good quality care to our residents, as well as being able to help and mentor her coworkers to make the job more productive. Myra is part of Oakwood’s new mentor program, being selected to mentor new oncoming employees to Thrive at Oakwood as she has. Her favorite part of working at Oakwood is seeing and working with a diverse group of workers, and, of course, the residents. In her free time, Myra loves to collect plants; she has about 100 indoor plants at her home, she calls them her therapy plants. We thank Myra in all that she does for our residents and employees, to Thrive more!
Pat Kiely is a Life Enrichment Specialist on the University Woods Campus. As a Life Enrichment Specialist, she interacts and prepares a variety of activities for the residents of Oakwood Village. Pat has been a team member of Oakwood Village for almost 13 years and has added so much to the Oakwood team! She looks forward to coming to work every day for the residents and enjoys learning new ways and methods to interact. Pat says that a great day is made by having the feeling of really making a difference. Outside of work, Pat finds real joy from her 2 dogs, singing, gardening, and taking time to read and crochet. Oakwood is privileged to have Pat as a team member who is helping our organization continue to THRIVE for its residents, employees, and community!
