Make a Difference in the Lives of Older Adults

Your time and talents can make a difference!

Numerous volunteer opportunities exist at Oakwood, and we strive to match our volunteer needs with your interests and availability. By volunteering your time, you make a real difference in the lives of others while contributing to the success of a local, faith-based, not-for-profit organization with an established history of providing excellent care to Madison-area seniors.

Volunteering on one of our campuses provides an opportunity to meet interesting people, acquire new skills and to share your talent and experience. Volunteer opportunities include interacting with residents and visitors by helping in one of Oakwood’s campus shops, spending time visiting with residents or assisting with special campus events or life enrichment programs, or supporting employees in their work.

Hospice Volunteers

Whether it's providing companionship or administrative support, volunteers help our hospice team give the best care to the Oakwood community.

We accommodate varying schedules, including day, evening, and weekend shifts. Experience is not required; we provide all the training you need.

Talk with Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Amber Nelson-Smith at 608-235-0538, or reach out to her via email.
