All are welcome to watch and/or participate. Many of you have already joined in. The dances are beginner and intermediate levels, and we are happy to show your feet what to do. We celebrate a variety of dance cultures, including the Balkan countries, Turkey, Greece, Brittany, China, Kenya and others.

Are you a knitter? Or have you ever wanted to learn to knit? Then, come join this group for a great time of knitting in community. The social aspect of knitting in a circle of friends keeps the spirit strong. The Oakwood Yarners meets year round and works to create prayer shawls for residents and staff of Oakwood, & hats, scarves and mittens for local charities. Supplies provided or bring what you are currently working on.

Some of you know Sara—she taught our Animals on Wood class in January—she’s skilled in the art of detail, shading, color and realism. Come join Sara in this exciting journey where she will bring new and exciting projects to students or you choose your own drawing projects. You will explore contour drawing, line, depth, composition, still life, and a variety of mixed media work, while exploring pencil, ink, pastel and charcoal.

*Open to all areas of campus *$9 per class, you can drop in for classes Clay expert and sculptor Mikel Kelley of 4th Street Ceramics Mount Horeb, WI, returns to bring his skills and talents to Oakwood residents. Learn the art of hand building, coil building, clay design, glazing, and principles of sculpture.

Costs: $12 per month loom fee *Please note that students will pay for all supplies independently and all costs beyond the monthly loom fee can be arranged with Geke. Instructors: Geke De Vries & Nancy Korda Learn the timeless and beautiful art of loom weaving with outstanding instructors. They will teach you how to work the loom as you learn to weave, and they will set up the loom for you. In this hands-on art, you will make beautiful masterpieces. You can work on projects at your own speed with the helpful guidance of skilled weavers, Geke and Nancy.
